A golf professional since 1996, he is the owner and Director of Instruction of Powerline Golf Academy. Vince has been playing golf for 30 years.
Born and raised in the Woodbridge area, Vince began golfing at the age of 7, and along with a multitude of other sports, has spent his lifetime involved in area athletics. After playing golf, baseball and basketball at Potomac Senior High School in Dumfries, he accepted a baseball scholarship from Shippensburg University (PA).
After college, Vince returned home to be the assistant coach for the varsity baseball team at Potomac, and served as head coach for the traveling summer team. While coaching baseball, his love for golf drove him back to the sport, he rededicated his time and effort to working on his game and began entering tournaments. His success inspired his dream to turn professional, which he did in 1996 after winning the Capitol Amateur Tournament at Marlboro CC in Maryland.
His desire to help people, and ability to successfully coach others to improve, quickly led him to the teaching side of the golf business. Over the past 12 years, Vince proudly helped build Powerline Golf Academy into the premier teaching facility in Northern Virginia. Having given over 15,000 lessons in Prince William County, he has taught male, female and junior golfers of all abilities, from beginners to professionals. Vince has attended many PGA teaching and coaching seminars, and possesses an extensive tournament background, including winning the recent MCS Pro Invitational at Evergreen CC in Virginia. He has built a reputation as an experienced, friendly and energetic teacher and offers an abundance of skill and knowledge to his students.
Tory Whibley
Tory Whibley - Assistant Golf Professional
Born in Northern Virginia and raised in Montclair, Tory picked up his first golf club at the age of 5 through the influence of his father. By the age of 8 he was actively on the course with his dad learning all aspects of the game of golf, and the love and passion for the game continued ever since.
While actively participating in other sports like soccer and baseball, his drive to keep getting better at golf thrived. His parents being members of the Montclair Country Club gave him the access to a
full practice facility and golf course at a young age,
allowing him the ability to work towards improving his game with every swing. By the time Tory reached high school, he decided golf was his true passion and
took up the sport full time.
During these years, he played on the Titleist Junior Tour, the MAPGA Junior Interclub for Montclair Country Club, as well as playing on the Forest Park High School golf team. While there, he helped the team win the district title four years in a row, as well as taking individual medalist honors his junior year.In 2007 Tory started working at the Montclair Country Club, working his way up from the cart staff, to a position in the pro shop, and is now proudly the Assistant Pro to Head Golf Professional and Director of Instruction, Vince Natale.
Tory is a welcome addition to the professional teaching staff at Powerline Golf Academy. With his natural talent, infectious attitude, passion for golf, and having been expertly trained on all aspects of teaching the game of golf, he makes a perfect fit to carry on the tradition of instruction at Powerline Golf Academy.
Tory is honored to be part of the Academy, and takes pride in his job as a teaching professional. His goals are to help others improve their swing and overall game, and to spread his passion and love of golf to all he comes in contact with.
