A golf professional since 1996, he is the owner and Director of Instruction of Powerline Golf Academy. Vince has been playing golf for 30 years.

Born and raised in the Woodbridge area, Vince began golfing at the age of 7, and along with a multitude of other sports, has spent his lifetime involved in area athletics. After playing golf, baseball and basketball at Potomac Senior High School in Dumfries, he accepted a baseball scholarship from Shippensburg University (PA).

After college, Vince returned home to be the assistant coach for the varsity baseball team at Potomac, and served as head coach for the traveling summer team. While coaching baseball, his love for golf drove him back to the sport, he rededicated his time and effort to working on his game and began entering tournaments. His success inspired his dream to turn professional, which he did in 1996.

His desire to help people, and ability to successfully coach others to improve, quickly led him to the teaching side of the golf business. Over the past 12 years, Vince proudly helped build Powerline Golf Academy into the premier teaching facility in Northern Virginia. Having given over 14,000 lessons in Prince William County, he has taught male, female and junior golfers of every ability, from beginners to professionals. Vince has attended many PGA teaching and coaching seminars, and possesses an extensive tournament background. He has built a reputation as an experienced, friendly and energetic teacher and offers an abundance of skill and knowledge to his students.

Scott Gordon

Scott Gordon - Teaching Professional  

Scott has been in the golf business for 25 years, all of that time has been spent in Northern Virginia in varying aspects of the industry. He has been playing golf for 35 years.

Growing up in the Northern Virginia area, Scott began golfing at an early age and decided then, to turn his passion for the game into a career. He attended Lake Braddock High School in Burke, Va., and during those years, he became a pro-shop supervisor at Twin Lakes Golf Course in Clifton, Va. He then attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., and graduated in 1986 with a BA in business administration.

Upon graduation, Scott returned to the area to become manager of the Washington Golf Center in Springfield, Va. where he held that position from 1987 – 1993. In 1993, an opportunity arose in Woodbridge, Va., to fulfill his life dream of having his own golf shop. Shortly thereafter, he opened the doors of the premier driving range and pro shop in Northern Virginia for years to come … Powerline Golf.

Scott went on to give lessons and sell clubs to thousands of golfers from all over the area, developing a reputation as an expert fitter and retailer. His knowledge of the game, and equipment, has made Scott a popular figure in the golf industry and a trusted voice to customers all over Northern Virginia.

After 13 hugely successful years (1993 – 2005), Powerline Golf closed its doors, as the land was purchased by a development company. Seeking to continue their great tradition together, Scott joined his longtime friend and business partner, Vince Natale in moving Powerline Golf Academy to Montclair Country Club. Keeping their familiar instruction team intact, the academy continues to be the premier teaching facility in Northern Virginia.

Scott is an excellent choice as an instructor for golfers of all abilities. His passion for the game is evident, and his desire to help golfers improve and enjoy the game is what has motivated him to tirelessly devote his life to the game of golf.
